Trivia Tuesday!
Hi everyone. Just a quick blog post today from Kiki. I found this really cute quiz - What Hobby are You? Apparently I like food too much. Yes, it's true. I always suspected it, but it's confirmed now. And funny enough, I do love to cook. What hobby are you?

Scrapping for the kitchen!
Hey KCB fans,
I wanted to share with you this week something that I made that really helps keep me organized with mealtime. I made it a while ago using a now retired (sorry) Cozy Kitchen by Kristin.
I wanted to share with you this week something that I made that really helps keep me organized with mealtime. I made it a while ago using a now retired (sorry) Cozy Kitchen by Kristin.
On the left you can see that I have the days of the week printed - this is for my meal planning. Then on the right is a space for writing things that we need to buy... then when I'm making my grocery list I can refer to that for things that we've run out of. Having this kitchen helper has really made dinnertime a lot easier. I can see a few days in advance what the meal plan is and take meat out of the freezer ahead of time. And the list side really keeps me from forgetting things that I don't usually buy but may need.
Now to make this all I did was scrap my image at 8x10 and printed at my local photo printer. Then I laminated it (later on I glued magnets to the back for sticking to the fridge) and it's done! Find yourself a fine tip dry erase marker and you're ready to organize your meal planning and shopping!
So why don't you pick out a fun kit from your stash and scrap yourself a kitchen helper too? It'll also reduce how often the hubby and kids ask what's for dinner since they can just read it for themselves :-)

Trivia Thursday!
Hi everyone. Well summer has definitely hit my area here in the last week. We've had heat warnings and advisories....makes me think that we should have moved closed to a beach. Well there's always air conditioning I suppose. All the same, while we may be sweltering, the gardens are absolutely loving this heat. In fact this week we picked our first produce from the garden, well ahead of schedule.
So here's your quiz for this Thursday. I hope you enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed doing it, and was not surprised by my answer. Will you be?

You Are an English Garden |
You are creative and vibrant. You are inspired by everything around you, and you don't have any one style. You like a mix of old and new. And you always have something unique to add to the equation as well. You are informal, open-minded, and flexible. You love to play around with art and design. You tend to change things up a lot. Whether it's your own clothes or your home, you can't stay with one look for long! |

Customer/Winner spotlight!!
I want to congratulate Rebecca aka mamabee for submitting her awesome layout-
into our journaling challenge last month! As part of her prize, I am going to do a Spotlight on her. She has a truely unique and beautiful scrapping style and I am sure you have seen her layouts around!
Here is a brief bio on Rebecca!
I'm Rebecca and I'm a 34 year old SAHM to one very well photographed 3 year old, Jacob. I'm also wife of 5 years to David, who is very supportive even though he doesn't totally understand how I can spend so much time and money on digital bytes of data. LOL! We live in Wisconsin... smack dab in Packer Country! I started traditional scrapbooking in 2000 after a 13 week business trip to England. My step-dad lent me his brand new camera that took digital photos and saved them on 3.25 disks!!!! I had over 500 photos at the end of the trip and tons of brochures on places we saw and I wanted a creative way to display those... that is when I took my first trip to Hobby Lobby. I didn't get into Digital until 2008, when I purchased Memory Maker for my mom... I wanted more selection in kits... and that is when I found SSD and I was officially hooked on Digi. Once in awhile I do make pre-made traditional paper albums for family and friends as gifts.
What program you use? and what camera?
Photoshop Elements 7.0... I do have CS4 but haven't taken the leap to switch over yet. I shoot with Canon Rebel and just got a Canon Powershot 1300 as my "purse camera"... love it!
Must have items on your pages?
Buttons are a must... a page isn't complete unless there is at least one button on a page.
Your favorite KCB layouts (that you have made) & your favorite kits!
Two of my most favorite layouts happen to use the same kit... and it's one of my favorite kits... Artist's canvas

What inspires you? Everyday events... I scrap the moment, little things that my son says or does... even packaging designs of things like laundry detergent... Things that I don't remember from my childhood, much less a year ago!
how long have you been digicrapping? I've been digi for 2 years.
any advice or secrets tips to share?? The only advice I have is to scrap for yourself and not worry about why you aren't on gallery standouts or get a lot of comments... if you scarp for yourself, your true style will come through and you will like your pages more and more people will like your pages. :)
Here is a link to Rebeccas gallery, take a look at all her beautiful layouts!! Thanks for playing along Rebecca!
