Stretching your Stash!
Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I am going to show you all how to stretch your stash! Many people are afraid to buy themed kits because they think that you can only use them for what they are made for, and today I am here to show that that is not the case! LOL For today's feature I have showcased Kristin's kit: Joy to the World from her Holiday Classics Collection:
Now of course the obvious is a Christmas themed layout and I have made many of those with this kit! But I have also made 2 others:
Sleep soundly: one of my gorgeous son sleeping in my husbands arms and
One of my spunky little girl!
And of course last year I made our Christmas card with this kit:
And I also made a Christmas 2009 brag book with this kit! It is versatile enough to use as an any occasion kit! Here are a few layouts I found in the SSD gallery:
Celebrate by Kiki
Christmas memories by Paula
When your budget isn't allowing you to buy a new kit, make sure you revisit your stash and think of different ways to use different kits! Designers love to see just how versatile a kit is! Have a great week! And for those of you in Canada~ Stay warm!

Recipe Challenge!
Hi everyone! Kiki here with a fun recipe challenge for you! I think you'll enjoy it, just wait and see. This coming week is Thanksgiving in the United States, which means lots of cooking, family, shopping! Are you ready for it?
This week's challenge is based on the Thanksgiving date this year in the US. So this year Thanksgiving falls on November 25, 2010. So here's our numbers: 11, 25, 20, 10. So, to participate in the challenge here's what I need to see on your layout using Kristin's products:
November is the 11th month. So use 1 solid paper and 1 patterned paper (you thought I'd make you use 11 of something?)
2 photos
5 different flowers
20 words or more in your journalling
10 buttons (they can be the same button repeated 10 times)
So get to work, have fun with it, and come back here and post a link to your layout using Kristin's products (at least some of her products), and I'll select a winner at random on November 30th.

Hybrid Tuesday~ Christmas frame
Good morning! I just wanted to share a quick and easy Christmas project with you all! Honestly it took me 20 minutes and cost very little! Here is the finished project:
And the supplies you will need:
~ frame from Micheals ($2.99)
~scissors
~mod podge or glue
~sand paper
~ pop up glue or cardboard
~digital kit (print out what you want to use!)
First thing I did was print out my background paper and elements that I wanted to use on the frame
Next I placed the frame face down on the face down paper and mod podged it in place! Next I sanded the edges of the frame and the interior to cut it off.
Then I simply cut out the cute little embellies and added them to the frame, if you want to add depth (like I did on the presents) just layer some cardboard underneath the element and glue in place! Voila, this took me 20 minutes and look how cute it turned out! For this cute little frame I used Kristins kit: From the Holiday Collection: Santa Baby
There you have it! If you give this easy little project a try, please link me to an image so I can leave you some love! Take Care!

Post Halloween quiz time!
Hey KCB fans! I'm just wondering what kind of "sugar binger" you are since most of us probably had at least a few pieces of candy this past holiday weekend :D Play along and post your answer in the comments!!
Your Halloween Sugar Binge is Caramel Apples |
You have a sweet tooth, but you can feel easily overwhelmed by sugar. You prefer to have your treat cut with something healthy, like fruit and nuts. But don't let the apple part fool you, you can eat sweets with the rest of them. You're even willing to make a bit of a mess if your sweet treat is tasty enough. |
