Tuesday Trivia! Easter's on its way!!!

With Easter coming up this weekend I thought it would be fun to do a little quiz! Although my results are a little questionable, LOL, take a try at it! Happy Easter everyone!

Your Chocolate Easter Bunny Personality

You know what you want in life and how to get it.

You're not going to waste time or let yourself be meek

Whether it's chocolate, money, or power...

You take what you can get, and you act quickly.

You have a lot of energy, and people sometimes scared by your determination.

Not that you care what other people think. You're not going to apologize for who you are.

Stretch a kit

If you are like me, you've got kits sitting on your hard drive that you've used for special photos. How many times do you go through the store looking for a specific kit for a specific photo? Lots, right? I do too. But far too often, I end up using the kit only once, maybe twice because I don't have other photos that fit the theme of the kit. I'm here to show you how you can stretch some of those kits to create wonderful layouts without having to fit in the theme. Take a look at Eco Friendly for example. A great kit by Kristin and Meg Mullens:

Now, would you have thought that these layouts were made with a kit about the environment, recycling and being earth friendly? Here's the preview for the kit that was used in making these layouts:

So take some time to take another look and see how you can stretch your kits for use with different themes. You might be surprised what you find.

Time for a Recipe Challenge!

Hi everyone. Kiki here, and I have to say that I am not too impressed by the cold front that has moved into this area. Where is spring? It could have snowed today if it were cloudy. At least the sun is shining. That will at least warm my spirits.

Have you been enjoying March and the SSD Porfolio Challenges? March is almost over and I'm looking forward to April. Time really flies doesn't it?

Our winner of our LOVE challenge we had in February is disneyaddict. So she'll be enjoying some of Kristin's Products as our winner.

And since we didn't have any entries for the last challenge, I'm keeping it open:

Create a spring LO with the following:

1 font
1 alpha
2 ribbons or strings
2 journaling tags
3 papers
at least 3 photos that tell a story
4 frames
4 buttons
5 flowers and /or leaves

Use Kristin's products in creating this layout and you'll have a chance to win some of her fabulous products. What are you waiting for? Winter? LOL - have fun this Friday!

Wednesday's Spotlight!!

Good morning everyone! I hope spring has sprung for you all...i know that snow is in our near future...crossing my fingers that is SO wrong, LOL! Today I am here to bring you wednesdays spotlight which is on Rochelle789! AKA Rochelle McDonald! Rochelle gallery is absolutely amazing, have you taken a look?? Please do! You will find loads of inspiration! Here is the link to her gallery

Brief Bio: I'm the mommy to 2 little girls, ages 6 and 2, and I work full-time as a Psychology professor at one of our state universities here. Between my career and my girls, there isn't time for much else, so I don't have a whole lot of exciting things to say about myself. I began digital scrapping sometime in 2007.

What program you use? and what camera? I use CS2 for scrapping. I've thought about upgrading, but CS2 does everything I'd ever need to do. I have 2 cameras. I primarily use my Canon XTi, but I also have a Canon Powershot that I keep in my purse. I'll be upgrading that one soon.

Must have items on your pages? Buttons! I love buttons! If a kit doesn't have a button in it, I feel like I'm lost.

Your favorite KCB layouts (that you have made) & your favorite kits! I love all of the layouts I've made with Kristin's kits, but here are two of my favorites:

sweet moments using K's newest kit: These Days

My favorite kits are her newest one, These Days, and Falling Leaves.

What inspires you? I use templates almost exclusively, so that inspires my page design, although I frequently modify them quite a bit. Other than that, I'm inspired by my girls - what they say, what they do, what they like, what they wear, etc... I also frequently ask myself what I would have liked to have known about my life and childhood, then I tend to scrap those things for myself and for my girls.

Besides SSD where to you spend your time digi scrappin lurkin!? I primiarly hang at SSD, and always have.

How long have you been with K?? This is my first 6-month term on Kristin's team, and I hope she'll have me longer! :o)

and some of Rochelle's most recent layouts!

18 months using: Blossom
Spider park using: Brotherly Love by Kristin CB and Meg Mullens

Sisters using: Sisterly Love by Kristin CB and Meg Mullens

Six: using Dear Diary

my everything: using my everything

Thanks for joining me today for wednesday's spotlight! If you get a chance take a gander thru Rochelles gallery, you will surely be inspired!

New Hybrid Wonders!

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! It's Kiki here with some lovely new projects - hybrid-style! I am absolutely loving what everyone has been making lately. I have to say that when I thought of trying a hybrid project, I was a bit intimidated. I had never scrapped anything with paper, didn't have a scrapbooking room, or craft room for that matter, and have been known to have problems drawing a straight line with a ruler. But I went ahead and tried it and now I'm addicted. I look for excuses to make cards, look around my house to see if I can think of a project to make. It's so much fun, and I feel so good when I see what I accomplished! You should try it too!

Need some inspiration? Take a look at these beauties:

by putri - a diary:
by dbrpcr - a baby carriage:

Now you've seen the variety of what can be made using your printer, wonderful products made by Kristin, of course, and a little imagination. Go ahead and take a swing at a hybrid project. You will be amazed at how fun hybrid can be.
