It's Freebie Time!
Hi all! Kiki here with a little fun cluster for you to enjoy. I have to say that when I saw Kristin's Glow kit the first time I set eyes on it. The colours are so rich and wonderful for this time of year. Warm and it just glows.
I had to scrap with it. So I did, twice! One of my layouts had a cluster that was really fun to make and just made the layout pop. So I'm giving it to you to play with. You'll notice that that centre of the cluster is empty. Simply layer on a small photo anywhere you like, shadow the cluster and the photo and your layout is almost finished if you decide to use quite a bit of white space.
I hope you enjoy this. You can download it here. If you use it, be sure to link us up in the comments so that we can leave you some love. Have a great week!

CT Spotlight on Kjersti!
Good morning everyone. Here's a spotlight on Kjersti. You are going to love getting to know her better. I just call her the Queen of Dropshadows, clusters and all things wonderful, but that's just me. You'll see from her layouts though that she is just an amazing scrapper, especially when it comes to working with Kristin's products.
How long have you been digi-scrapping? And how did you get into it?
I heard the term "digi-scrap" one day so I googled it. I started clicking on sites and a whole new world opened up to me!! I uploaded my first layout to the Sweetshoppe in July 2009 and I've been hooked ever since.
What program you use? and what camera?
I have the Nikon D3 which I absolutely love and my favorite lens is the Nikkor 24-70. I just got Lightroom 3 a couple of weeks ago but I'm still trying to figure out how to import and export my photos!! I use CS4 to create my layouts.
Do you print out your layouts? Have you made any photobooks?
I've made several photobooks and my girls just love laying in bed at night looking at them. It's really hard for me to journal but I'm realizing how important it is to tell the story that goes with the photographs.
What are your favourite layouts and why?
I love this layout because my daughter was spinning, and spinning, and spinning while I was trying to take her photo! I think I captured her personality and was able to have it really shine in the layout.
I was really sad when my daughter started first grade and I didn't have my buddy around anymore. I made this layout so I could remember how much I missed her while she was at school!
What are your favourite KCB products? My favorite kit is Daydream Believer.
What's your favourite type of picture to scrap?
I love scrapping simple photos with not to much going on in the background. I've noticed I tend to crop in pretty tight on the faces!
What inspires you?
My girls inspire me. Life goes by pretty quickly. My daughters are already ten and six and I want to capture every moment and cherish it forever. I never want it to end. I want to scrap it all!
Do you have any digital scrapbooking tips and tricks you want to share?
I finally learned that you have to design pages for YOURSELF. Pages that YOU actually love and that bring a smile to your face when you look at them.

Halloween treat bags!
Hi KCB fans! Monique here to share with you my Halloween treat bags for my daugher's class this year. They were quick to design and easy to assemble and look very nice. Here's what I made:
The first thing I did was to design the yellow label and the little tag. I then pasted as many as I needed onto a word document and printed them on my printer. You could also paste them onto a photo size document in your photo editing program and print that at your local photo developer's.
Then I took some black cardstock and cut them in half, scored and folded 1.5inches to create my packaging's "topper" portion. I used a Martha Stewart edge trimmer to pretty up the edge, then used just a bit of glue to keep the label strip in place.
Once the bags were filled (I used 5x7inch bags that I got really cheap on ebay ages ago), I lined up the edges of the bag inside the fold of the cardstock and stapled it in place. I then stapled on the To/From tag at the corner.
Once the labels and tags were designed and printed, the assembly probably took about 30 minutes for a dozen of these bags.
Here's a close up of the bag's edge (sorry for the blurry-ness of the photo):
Kit used is Kristin's Halloween kit from last year, one that's still a huge favourite among her CT:
**Pumpkin used in the To/From tag is from Lliella Designs' Little Tricksters kit. Also available at the Sweet Shoppe.**

Hybrid Showcase Tuesday!
Welcome to hybrid showcase Tuesday! I'm Kiki and here to show you some of the great projects that people have been making with Kristin's products. What great stuff. Take a look:
First up, for all the chocolate lovers out there... pkstew2 did this wonderful Nugget Wrap! How cool is this project?! This project uses All Star and Tropical Hideaway.
Here's a cute project for October! A treat tote by Joana1n using Bewitching and My Everything.
And check out Joana1n's birdcage! Gorgeous defined! This project uses Just Breathe, A Wonderful World, Apple Blossom, The Reasons Why, Nature's Retreat.
Now how cute is this? inskidahv made this one using Lil’ Buggy. Look at all those patterned papers!
This adorable card was made by DeepGirl using Apple Blossom: I love the punched paper borders and the big apple.
So as you can see, there are quite a few ways to use Kristin's products in hybrid projects, and look at how well they mix and match. So get to it. Start a hybrid project, even if it's just a card. Giving a gift you've made with your own hands is so rewarding, and appreciated by the receiver.
Have a great day everyone!
